Hefei Park Notes | In February, Baohe writes the spirit of spring with plum cheeks and willow eyes
✅ Baohe Park, has condensed the collective memory of generations of Hefei people.
The Bao Xiaosu Ancestral Hall, with its long history, is located on the 'Fragrant Flower Mound' surrounded by water on all sides in Baohe. It was built during the Ming Dynasty to commemorate the famous Song Dynasty official 'Qingtian' Bao Zheng, and today's main hall was renovated with silver donated by Li Hefei in the late Qing Dynasty. In spring, green trees, bamboo, and blooming flowers are set against each other, the wind rustles the bamboo leaves, the fragrance of flowers is faint, birds sing in the sky, and waterfowl swim leisurely, serene but not noisy. Beside the hall, there is a well named 'Lianquan' after Bao Zheng's integrity and honesty. On both sides of the main entrance, lotuses are planted in the river, providing coolness in summer.
Floating Village, another island in the river, shaped like a willow leaf floating on the water. It is said to have been Bao Gong's academy, rebuilt in the 1980s, combining Suzhou and Huizhou garden styles, with white walls and black tiles, water pavilions, corridors, pavilions, and bridges over flowing water, fish frolic in ponds with lotus. From a distance, the shadows of the island, buildings, and trees reflect each other, with patches of sky light penetrating the water light.
On the slope of the south bank of the river, there are Qingfeng Pavilion and Bao Gong's tomb. The tomb of Bao Zheng's family was moved from his hometown in Feidong, and Bao Qingtian is undoubtedly from Hefei, Luzhou. Qingfeng Pavilion is tall and is the best place to overlook Baohe.
It is said that the lotus roots of Baohe are 'fiberless', originating from Bao Qingtian's 'selflessness'.
✅ At the beginning of February in the lunar calendar, the winter scene has not yet completely faded, and the beat of spring is becoming clearer. Walking by the river, one is deeply moved by the vivid changes of the seasons.
The Chinese tallow trees are full of white seeds, shiny, early spring food stored for birds in winter.
The peak of plum blossoms is gradually receding, with cheeks slightly haggard, but still smiling at the spring light.
The winter jasmine blooms early, sprinkling dots of golden yellow, dressing the green water and arch bridges in spring clothes:
The magnolias standing tall on the branches are like white candles, burning their fragrance in a short season.
✅ Now, the willow trees are just taking center stage, the most eye-catching.
From a distance, it's the color, a stroke that paints a suitable shade of charm.
Up close, the young buds are just blooming, like little babies opening their eyes, the tender green hanging on the branches, the February spring breeze cuts out 'thousands of strands of green silk ribbons', looking forward to being dressed in jade, with peach blossoms and willows, flowers blooming like a brocade.
✅ 'Walk this way, walk that way, just seeking flowers and willows. Walk that way, walk this way, do not tire of the golden cup of wine'.
Bao Park was formerly Baohe Park, located outside the southern ring of the old ring road in Hefei, Wuhu Road in the river area. It is rumored that the emperor was rewarding Bao Zheng, and he would give him half of the city of Zhangzhou. Bao Zheng was unwilling to accept it, but it was inconvenient to embarrass the emperor. He asked for a moat, and Bao's descendants lived along the river for generations, so he called this moat.
A total of 4 attractions are included. 3 charges can buy package tickets, 1 is free. Bao Gong Temple and Bao Cemetery are very cultural and worth a visit. The view of Fuzhuang is OK, Qingfeng Pavilion is built after, and there is no climb up.
A whole area surrounds the main body of Bao Gong. There are many tourists in the beautiful scenery. Bao Zheng's palace is very eye-opening. Whether it is for tourists or locals, this good place is worth having nothing to go shopping and relax.
Note that foreign tourists go for the first time: take the subway to Baoyuan Station, exit D, and turn left and walk to the South Gate. There are three entrances to Qingfeng Pavilion, Bao Cemetery, and Fuzhuang. They are all the same. After entering, they have to come out the same way and then go to another attraction. The entrance of Bao Gongxuan is a bit far from these three entrances, at the south gate. The overall view is good and the area is large.
Just in the center of Hefei, come to Hefei to visit, in the center of Hefei, come to Hefei to visit, in the center of Hefei, come to Hefei to visit, in the center of Hefei, come to Hefei to visit.
Bao Park is a big park first, as a park, it is quite qualified. The garden must be beautiful in spring and autumn. But as a memorial hall, it is very thin. For 40 yuan tickets, the only place to see is Bao Cemetery. There is a documentary about the excavation process of Bao Cemetery and the very bumpy convergence of Bao Gong's remains. The people watching are a little embarrassed. Other places such as Bao Gong's are very thin and the content is repeated. Qingfeng Pavilion is also OK, you can take the elevator directly to see the Bao Park and the panoramic view of Bao River.
Bao Gong's Temple is very beautiful. It is quiet and quiet, antique and worth a visit.
