Fort Sumter National Monument is one of the most famousplaces in the United States of America. This fort was bombed for many days by the South and the North finally left the fort . This is the birth spot of the American Civil War . This is on an island at the entrance of Charleston Harbor so you must take a book to get there. The boat charges a fee but the entry to the fort is free. You are inly allowed a certain amount of time at the fort so make the most of it . it has plenty of cannon you can see . There is also a movie theater where you can watch a movie about what happened there. There is also a musuem about the fort and the war which you can explore.
