The Portuguese Mussel Stew is incredible! Our new #1 tapas. The chicken with potatoes and peppers excellent as well. The Sangria is outstanding, and the service is always friendly. One of our favorite Lakeview restaurants.

Bulerias Tapas Bar

My wife and I have been visiting Bulerias for years with family and friends, beginning when they were in their original location on Southport Ave. We keep going back whenever we&#39;re in the Lakeview or Wrigleyville neighborhoods. The servers and bar tenders are very friendly and attentive, and the food is outstanding. There is seating upstairs at high tops around the bar, where there are always TVs playing sports (we prefer sitting here), and a quieter dining room downstairs. We always make an OpenTable reservation before we go to make sure we&#39;re not disappointed!

Chicago definitely has a shortage of Tapas restaurants compared to other cities &amp; Bulerias is our favorite. They have a large menu, great daily specials, and Flamenco shows. I think their Bravas are some of the best I&#39;ve had- order them in the spicy sauce (assuming you even like spice). The restaurant also has a great authentic feel to it as a casual Tapas bar in Spain. They have excellent Sangria, great service, and very reasonable prices.

Thoroughly enjoyable dining experience. The restaurant layout is quirky with different levels and an additional dining room and bar in the basement. Large selection of tapas. Especially liked the bacon wrapped dates, the gambas al ajio, and the saut&eacute;ed artichokes. Large but pricey wine list.
