We just got back from a quick meal ad Uncommon Ground. We&acute;re familiar with the area and we often go to restaurants nearby and this was not the first time at Uncommon Ground. This time it was different. While having lunch we could witness one of the server bringing the plates from the kitchen to the main hall and casually picking and eating fries directly from the plate. Happened once, so I decided to observe her more closely. It seemed she was quite hungry and she was also nonchalantly munching some bread while walking back and forth from the kitchen and carrying some plates. Please mind that she was not any of the waiters wearing the uniform. She looked more like the hostess (short hair, brownish dress, black boots) and she was not wearing any uniform. The waiter that we were assigned offered us an impeccable service. While this did not affect us directly and might seem a minor occurrence, it just seems so incredibly unprofessional and damaging of the reputation of any decent restaurant. She proceed to take food from the plates several times absolutely nonchalantly, it seems she was pretty ok with the whole thing. Food was good as usual but I do not really thing I would ever go back - maybe the hostess will try some of my food this time?

The Portuguese Mussel Stew is incredible! Our new #1 tapas. The chicken with potatoes and peppers excellent as well. The Sangria is outstanding, and the service is always friendly. One of our favorite Lakeview restaurants.
