Xichang Satellite Launch Center

Xichang Satellite Launch Center is located in Fengjiawan, Zeyuan Township, Gaining County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It was built in 1970 and belongs to the General Equipment Department of the PLA, which mainly undertakes the space base of geosynchronous orbit satellite launch. The number of satellites launched from Xichang is about 200 times, accounting for about 40 of the total number of satellites launched nationwide.
