It cost $34 for two courses and to be honest, it's the worst Chinese dish I've ever had. The chicken noodles are so dry and tasteless. I added coconut oil myself. The chicken cashews are also so dry, and the cashews are a wonderful combination with rice.
We went there for a meal at Christmas and it was a while since we went last time. The interior is very beautiful, the tables and chairs are new, but the table layout is somewhat compact, and the guests are very crowded. The food is still good, the service is also very good, and the money is worth it. Booking in advance is a good idea, but make sure you decide which day to go, so take your situation into account. It's not our top 10, but it's definitely top 10.
What a great find this Chinese restaurant ..... happened to be when we were looking for a place to eat dinner in Christchurch. The first fried dumplings were particularly delicious and highly recommended. We eat 'beef with Chinese mushroom and black fungus', 'garlic chili shrimp', 'Pork Mapo tofu', these dishes are spicy, we eat with hot rice. The restaurant is full of locals including some Chinese customers, which I think means the food is good. The dinner was really good. We ordered drinks at the restaurant, but you can bring your own. Parking is a bit difficult but you can park at the Beiguo Mall not far away. Highly recommend this place.
When you see the China Kitchen restaurant packed with local Chinese, you will know that the restaurant offers authentic Chinese food. The food is delicious, with authentic Chinese dishes and Chinese flavors. The China Kitchen never let me down, just thinking about it makes me drool. The hospitality of the staff and the real value for money made this one of the most authentic Chinese restaurants in Christchurch. The food on the outside was delicious as well, and the barbecue was served.
