Baiyun Taoist Temple

Baiyun Temple, also known as Lvzu Temple, was built in the seventeenth year of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty (1837 AD). The forehead of the gate of Baiyunguan is carved with "Rising Clouds and Road", and the wooden plaque of "Baiyunguan" inscribed by Deng Baoshan is hung on the lintel. There are statues of Lv Dongbin enshrined in the temple, and there are a group of three-entry buildings such as the East-West River Tower, the Opera Tower, and the front, middle, and backyards. There are gardens, Baxian Pavilion Chisa Pavilion, Crane Deer Pavilion, Laixian Pavilion, Juxian Pavilion, Qunxian Tower and other buildings in the apse, which are antique and rich in Taoist style. Baiyun Temple, the palace building is majestic, the incense is strong, and the Taoist cultural atmosphere is strong. It can be said to be unique in the local area. The seven Chinese locust trees in the temple are towering and straight, and the branches are lush, making the Baiyun Temple more clean and elegant. In 1997, the Lanzhou Municipal People's Government The 7 Chinese locust trees are listed as key ancient and famous trees for protection, and it has become the only scenic spot in the city where the Taoist temple is integrated with the ancient and famous trees. In the past 20 years, Lanzhou Baiyun Temple has become a central place for gathering Quanzhen Taoists from all over the province and contacting Zhengyi Taoists and believers in the province to carry out religious activities.
