Baofeng Ancient Town

Baofeng Ancient Town in Yunlong County is one of the birthplaces of ancient Yunlong ancestors. It is located in the county seat of Yunlong County, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan. It was once the seat of Yunlong Prefecture in the Qing Dynasty. Like the ancient city of Lijiang, Baofeng Ancient Town in Dali is also an old city with a long history. The houses in Baofeng are all typical Bai folk house styles, or three squares and one zhaobi, or four in five patios, or one front and one ear, or six contracts in spring. Some are tall and majestic, and some are small and exquisite. They are located in the lower reaches of the Minjiang River, a tributary of the Lancang River. There are not many cars on the road, and you can get there in about half an hour. There are observation decks on the road, and the films taken are very spectacular. There are five courtyards in the former residence. Now only the first and second entrances are open for visits. There are few tourists and local primary school students can play freely in it. A little regret~ Going up the river, there is a small iron bridge at the head of the village, which is the first steel truss in the history of highways in Yunnan Province. The bridge was originally located between the Big Chestnut Tree and Gongguo Bridge (Changgan Bridge). It was bombed by the Japanese many times during the Anti-Japanese War and survived. After liberation, it was moved here due to the construction of a hydropower station. In the Baofeng Primary School at the entrance of the village, there are also the Library and the Palace of Qinzheng. There are other scenic spots such as Baiyi Pavilion, Fulong Temple, Jade Emperor Pavilion, Xuanzhen Temple, etc., which are far away and it is getting late, so I did not look for it and drove back to Yunlong County. There is also a Gongguo Bridge on the road back to Yunlong County from the ancient town, which is very beautiful in the sunset. During the Anti-Japanese War, the Japanese devils bombed the bridge many times, and the military and civilians worked together to maintain the bridge smoothly. The original site was in Gongguo Village. After the liberation, the bridge was moved here due to the repair of a hydropower station.
