The Chengtian Temple Pagoda is the only ancient pagoda in Ningxia with surviving documents from its construction. The original tower was unfortunately destroyed in an earthquake, however what stands today is an excellent reconstruction of the original Qing Dynasty structure. The tower gate faces to the east. When entering the tower's square hall, visitors face a spiraling wooden staircase. Each floor of Chengtian Temple is separated by three layers of ribbed bricks, with iron bells hanging in the corners of the rooms. When a breeze blows, visitors are greeted by the gentle ringing of the bells.
