It was a fun mixed area. We were there one Saturday, with performers on the street, singing and dancing. There was a puppet show and children playing games. There were many tourist shops and restaurants near the port, surrounded by colonial grand architecture and cosy squares. Leaving the main street, however, many buildings are in serious disrepair and are said to be best visited during the day.
