A must-see to Cairo, built in 1863. Tickets are cheap, showing artifacts from thousands of years, as well as statues of Pharaohs, mummies, Egyptian artworks and Egyptian living utensils.
Very nice museum that is worth going to. Highlight is definitely the room with King Tut’s tomb, but you’re not allowed to take pictures in it.
This museum has so much to see inside that even if you spent 3 days there, it would not be enough! So much to learn and see, so much to take in, the history and the culture - all inside a lovely museum!
The Grand Egyptian Museum Arabic: المتحف المصرى الكبير al-Matḥaf al-Maṣriyy al-Kabīr, also known as the Giza Museum, is an archaeological museum under construction in Giza, Egypt, about 2 kilometres from the Giza pyramid complex
The Egyptian Museum is located on the east bank of the Nile River and is one of the world famous museums in Cairo. The museum was officially opened in 1902 and houses many precious artifacts from the ancient Egyptian Pharaoh era. Egyptians used to call it the Pharaoh Museum.
It feels so-so, but this is the ancient Egyptian civilization, if you like it, it is still very good.
