Berlin State Opera

The Berlin Concert Hall, sandwiched between the Twin Churches on the Yulin Square, is a neoclassical building built between 1800 and 1802, also known as the "National Theatre". Such an elegant building was completely destroyed by a fire in 1817. The renowned architect Shenkel rebuilt the site of the ruins of the theatre and skillfully integrated the remnants of the original building into the new building. On this basis, the central part of the theatre was heightened and widened, with gables at the top. After being destroyed again in World War II, it was converted into a concert hall in 1984 and opened its doors to the public again.
