It's hard to believe this waterfall is in the middle of the desert, on top of the fact that it's vividly blue! Havasupai is a Native American Reserve located in Arizona, where permits are required to enter. Every year, campers attempt to book a limited number of spots and thousands are unsucessful.. it's a popular place! If Havasupai is on your bucket list make sure you've got your alarms set for booking day in early February.
This summer, I took my dad on a road trip through the USA. On the last day, I tricked him into thinking we would be driving to the Grand Canyon, when instead I had booked a helicopter ride to fly there. It was one of his most memorable travel experiences to date.
Grand Canyon National Park, one of the most beautiful destinations. Amazing to see in person after seeing it online and in books for so many years.
Day trips to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park are also possible, but if you want to see the magnificent sunset and sunrise and walk to the bottom of the canyon, you will need to stay for two nights. In the one-way journey of more than 10 kilometers, the view on the hiking trail at the bottom of the canyon is quite different from that at the top of the southern edge. However, the changing weather in the canyon is something that hikers need to pay attention to. In the last day of May, I encountered a sudden change in the weather from heavy snowfall to the sun. In addition, the hotel or camp in the park is from May to October. Very popular, need to book 1 to 2 months in advance. Of course, there is also a choice to live in the town of Tussayan outside the entrance of the park, which may be more suitable for card games.
Dubbed one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Grand Canyon National Park is located at Colorado Plateau and was formed by the Colorado River carving its way into the plateau. The strata of red-yellowish rock formations give the Grand Canyon a majestic and eccentric look. The Park consists of a South Rim, North Rim and West Rim, of which the first is well-developed and much visited. You may choose to take a bus or drive your own car here, admire the view from the observation deck, go hiking in the mountains, take a helicopter for a view from above, or explore the Indian Reservation.
