James McNeill Whistler Statue

The statue was found in the garden of the Battersea Bridge to the north and west of the Battersea Bridge. Many of his paintings are in this area, including the Thames River, the Battery Bridge and the Craymorn Garden. The statue was originally built on the 100th anniversary of the artist's death, but it was actually two years late.

When Whistler, born in the United States, arrived in England after living in Paris, Chelsea was the place he chose to live. Many of his works belong to this field, including some Nocturnes featuring the Thames, Buttersea Bridge and Gardens.
