The Mingyue Temple of Pumatai is located on the earth platform of the Pumatai site in the northwest corner of Pumatai Village, Pumatai Township. It was built in the Tang Dynasty (642-712), destroyed in the fifth generation, rebuilt in Song Dynasty, destroyed in Jinyuan, rebuilt in Qianjia, and destroyed in the Cultural Revolution. For more than a thousand years, Sanjian San wasted. During the five generations to the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, Mingyue Temple was destroyed many times, and only relics such as millennia of ancient cypress and "Mingyue Temple Stone Stele" remained. Regarding the origin of the name "Humatai", it is said that it is related to Yang Liulang's resistance to Liaobao. During the Song Dynasty, Baigou River was the dividing line between Song and Liao. Yang Liulang once ordered the town to guard the border to resist the invasion of Liao soldiers. In 1992, the Rongcheng County People's Government applied to the District Administration Office to repair the open Mingyue Temple. The reconstruction of the Daxiong Palace was completed in 1996 by Mr. Tang Yu. At present, many buildings in the temple are still being repaired and not fully completed. Mr. Zhao Puchu is the four words "Daxiong Palace" in the handwriting of the temple. The traffic here is inconvenient, and you can only drive by car or bicycle.
