What travelers say:

Midwestern Virginia city. Upstream of the James River, the Blue Ridge Mountains. Population , large urban . Built in 1786. In the Civil War, not only was the important supply of supplies for the Southern Allies, but also the place where the Civil War signed an armistice agreement. The city is a unique landmark in American history. It is also a strategically important place in the Civil War. There was a fierce battle over the river pier next to its train station. I have more than 100 soldiers sleeping here. The city is named in honor of John Lynch who built the ferry on the James River. Stop at the Old Town Cemetery and bring your camera. Between the old stone and the old roses, you will have a lot of great photo opportunities that can smell more than modern roses. Beautiful environment with a long history; make sure to stop to visit the pest house. Surprising peace and beauty everyone should go there. Choose a picnic in good weather for a day or just stroll around the park.
