Off-the-Beaten-Path Travel Guide to Hakodate, Hokkaido: Photography and Gourmet Tips
I flew to Sapporo with my roommate for the Spring Festival and then took the Hokuto line to Hakodate. Currently, Hakodate might have fewer direct flights from the mainland, and although there aren't many tourists or shopping districts, this small city is truly a hidden gem, perfect for those who dislike the hustle and bustle and want to relax for a few days.
🍔Food Recommendations
1. Seafood is very affordable. If you want to try seafood and sea urchin on rice, you can go to the morning market next to Sapporo Station, where many small shops sell super fresh products. p2.3
2. Opposite the morning market is the famous Lucky Pierrot burger joint, which was mentioned in the second season of the anime Crayon Shin-chan's Hokkaido special. However, after trying it, I found the curry rice to be incredibly delicious! The fried chicken in the burger is similar to Chinese-style fried chicken, slightly sweet. p4
3. Continue walking towards the sea and you'll find a place called Kaikouin that specializes in various huge seafood items. There's a giant live octopus at the entrance which is quite impressive. My roommate and I were already full from the burgers, so we couldn't eat much, but their seafood variety is probably the most extensive in Hakodate, with all kinds of crabs and shellfish available. I glanced at the prices through the glass and they seemed reasonable. However, they only open in the afternoon.
4. How can you visit Hakodate without trying the local specialty, salt ramen? There's a ramen shop across from Sapporo Station heading towards Goryokaku, where the staff knows some basic Chinese. p5.6
📸Photo Spot Recommendations
1. Hachiman-zaka slope, where you can walk to the top of the road and use a telephoto lens to capture a photo of the road leading straight to the sea. p7.8
2. Walk from the Red Brick Warehouse towards Mount Hakodate, and you'll pass by a Lucky Pierrot burger joint. You can lean on the railing of the parking lot to take photos. p9
3. The vending machine in front of the parking lot at Kaikouin, using a telephoto lens and diagonal composition, you can capture the coast. p10
4. After reaching the Mount Hakodate Observatory, you don't have to go up to the second floor right away. Turn left on the first floor to a platform, then after coming out, walk down towards the Mount Hakodate sign, and turn right to a spot with an unobstructed view and fewer people. p11.12
5. Goryokaku Tower Observatory, it's recommended to take photos on the first floor of the observatory, where it's less crowded. p13.14
it was a great trip . I think I again going to visit one more time to see my notes which I wrote on the notebooks there 😹😹😍
The legend of Hakodate Hill's lighting is a night view worth millions. There is a platform on the mountain by the cable car. The view is invincible. It is deeply impressed. Hakodate is close to the port. The seafood is first-class, fresh and sweet.
The mountain in Hakodate, Japan, is relatively short, and it is not particularly tired to climb up. It takes about half an hour to watch it. The scenery of this city is also very beautiful and there is a ropeway to sit on, and it is very fun. Most of the above are temples.
Take a bus from the city to Hakodate Hill, walk to the cable car station, and pass a church along the way.
Hakodate, which is known as one of the world's three major night scenes, is not shocking compared to the three-dimensional lights in Victoria Bay, Hong Kong, but it is also beautiful and unique: the two bays are separated on both sides, and the stars are like a string of bead chains. Some people say that it is like an hourglass, full of a sense of time passing by; Some people advocate luxury, exclaiming that Chanel sprinkles the two C logos between the mountains and the sea... Hakodate Station to Hakodate Hill can take the bus or the city rail, and then change to the cable car to board Hakodate Hill. But because we had to fill our stomachs, we had dinner in the red brick warehouse, and we walked slowly to eat. Then in the morning, it is highly recommended that Hakodate morning market must punch in: fresh fish and sea urchin scallops... Fresh eyebrows!
Letter Guanshan is a place to see night scenery. It is one of the three world night sceneries. Looking at the arc coastline on both sides of the city, there is an X-shaped city group in the middle. There are not many such structures in the world. Hanguanshan is located on the southern coast of the city. Take the tram No. 2/5 and get off at the crossroads. Here is the entrance of the cable car. The round trip cable car is 1200 yen. It takes about 10 minutes to climb the top of the mountain. There is a bus to the top of the hill on platform 4 at the entrance of JR Hanguan Station. Passengers who buy pass can arrive in about half an hour at 400 yen without extra charge. The first time came in the daytime, the second time came to find that the camera had no electricity and the mobile phone was unstable at night. The effect was naturally tragic, but it still left me a deep impression. Originally, the haze on this side of the correspondence hall was almost negligible. It was revealed very high. I saw the city under the mountain with bright lights, the curved coastline concave the beautiful shape of the city, and the distance was dark again. That's because the sea was already there. The impression was still good. The actual visit would feel better. I highly recommend it.
The night view of Hanguan Mountain is a million yen view. Although it is very beautiful, the electricity consumption per day is enough to maintain this beautiful and dazzling view. Take the minibus to Hanguan Mountain from the entrance of JR Hanguan Station, and then take the cable car to the viewing platform. At that time, the cable car ticket was discounted, forgetting whether it was because of passport or JR3 ticket. At the end of February, it was very cold at night. The prospecting platform was outdoor and windy on the mountain. It was suggested that we should not stay too long. There are a lot of tours to the mainland and Hong Kong and Taiwan. Many people take a place with self-timer sticks and take pictures endlessly. This is really speechless. In fact, there is a very good restaurant on the next floor of the prospecting platform, and the price is not expensive. You can enjoy the night scenery while tasting delicious food. Ordering a There's also a big souvenir store, in which I bought a lot of delicious food. Because it is not with the regiment, the movement is not restricted. On the return journey, I went back to the Dongheng Inn Hotel near JR station from Fushan with my friends. It was about an hour. The road was quiet in the evening. Our two girls were very excited to see all kinds of scenery and could not be afraid. Besides, Japanese public security still wanted to be safe. There are church buildings of various religions around, along the way there are Kinsen warehouses, which are very beautiful after lighting at night.
