Lovely Small State Park
Whether it's a day trip or if you choose to camp for a few days, this is a lovely spot, also frequented by the locals. Nice swimming, shaded campsites and great for families.
We visited the beach here with 2 kids, ages 5 and 7, and loved it. The cost was reasonable (plus they charged us the local rate despite our NJ plates), and the ranger let me come back alone layer in ...

Site was great, Facilities were dirty all weekend and not cleaned. Hair in shower drains all weekend, one could tell it had been there for awhile.

Camped one night while passing thru the area and did an evening kayak
A great place worth a return visit especially if you are a paddler or a family looking for some beach time. The campgroud is excellect.
