At 3:42 on July 28, 1976, a large earthquake of 7.8 magnitude occurred in Tangshan City, Hebei Province, killing24.2 10,000 people. Strong earthquake wave shook Jinmen, November 15 at 21:53, a recurring strong aftershock, the epicenter in Ninghe County, Tianjin City, magnitude 6.9, intensity 8 degrees, the earthquake ravaged, causing great damage, more than 24,000 people suffered tragic misfortune, property suffered huge losses. The people of Tianjin, facing the disaster, stood up, and actively invested in the struggle against the disaster with the firm belief of people to win the sky. With the support of the people of the whole country and the PLA, the people of Tianjin fought back to the sky to eliminate the earthquake and rebuild their homes. On July 28, 1986, on the tenth anniversary of the Tangshan earthquake, a monument to earthquake resistance was erected to commemorate this feat.
