This place is under new ownership and I hope they survive. The selection, plant health and service has suffered but maybe that's to be expected with change of ownership.

The Battle of San Pasqual was the only Mexican-American War battle fought in California. The battle took place on December 6th, 1846 when American General Stephen Kearny led an American contingent into battle with a group of Californios (persons of Hispanic descent living in California after the Mexican Revolution) in what is now the San Pasqual Valley. The battle ended with 21 American soldiers dead and only one Californio killed in action.
