At the end of Tárnok utca is Trinity Square (Szentháromság tér), with many historical buildings and monuments. Here stands the Old Town Hall of Buda, which lost its original function when Buda, Pest and Óbuda were united in 1873. In its cellar the Hungarian House of Wines awaits its guests with a full representation of Hungarian winemakers, and offers a pallette of services for visitors, such as wine tasting - both for groups and independent travellers. The Baroque-style Trinity statue, in the middle of the square, commemorates the victims of the 1691 plague epidemic. The right side of the square is dominated by the Mathias Church, surrounded by the turrets and walkways of the Fishermen's Bastion.
Beautiful setting and lovely views, perfect for everyone to visit and enjoy, so recommend to come often and take a compliment.
The Trinity Square is an open area in front of the Matthias Church on Castle Hill.
The protagonist of the Trinity Square is a white monument column, which is a sculpture of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The pillars of the monument are engraved with the Holy Father, Jesus, and the cross, with exquisite workmanship. The statue of the Trinity was funded by people who survived the Black Death in Hungary in the 18th century. People use this way to commemorate that darkest moment.
The biggest reason I like Europe is the rich history and humanity here, because the people here respect and awe the history. If you walk anywhere, you can see churches, streets, bridges, and buildings hundreds of years ago. People thrived and thrived in history, and the long-flowing life has turned today into history, endless...
Beautiful park. 🤗
The Trinity Square in Budapest, Hungary is home to the 13th-century Matthias Church and Fisherman’s Bastion tower. The square is located on a hillside by the Danube. The scenery there is beautiful, very beautiful at sunrise and sunset.
