Taihe Tower

The idea of Taihe Tower and the proposal to build Taihe Tower were proposed and initiated by Mr. Cheng Siyuan, the late vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and the chairman of the Organizing Committee of Huaxia Cultural Linkage Engineering in 1995. Mr. Cheng Siyuan has been trying to solidify the concept of peace and harmony in traditional Chinese culture as a cultural symbol by building the Taihe Tower, so that the Chinese nation can carry forward a culture of peace and harmony or a spirit of peace and harmony for generations. After Mr. Cheng Siyuan died, the construction of Taihe Tower became Mr. Cheng Siyuan's last wish. The leading comrades of the State Council and relevant departments of the State Council attach great importance to the realization of Mr. Cheng Siyuan's last wish.

Taihe Tower is located above the Hunan Anti-Japanese Memorial Hall. It should have just been built and the place is very novel. I walked around the memorial hall and haven't found the way to visit. It is estimated that it has not begun to open to the outside world.

Located in Lijiang County, where the Anti-Japanese War was won and fell, in order to further improve the function of the Memorial Land of the Anti-Japanese War, make full use of and amplify this resource advantage, promote the theme of peace, and adapt to the development needs of patriotic education and tourism, The Lijiang County Party Committee and the county government decided to build a peace park near the Memorial Hall of the Victory and Health of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japan in the urban area, which is matched with the Taihe Tower, a landmark Chinese culture of peace and harmony that has launched a construction plan collection. This idea quickly received strong reactions from all walks of life, and was supported by the central, provincial and municipal governments. The completion of the project will give a distinctive mark to the Lijiang Peace City, provide a strong support for the Lijiang Peace City, and also will effectively enhance the leading role of the "peace journey".
