Taipingsi Street

Taiping Temple Street is located in Ximenli of the old city, starting from Ximennei Street (now Quancheng Road) in the south and connecting with Xichenggen Street in the north. It is named after the old Taiping Temple in the west of the street. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, because the east-neighboring Gaodusi Alley was filled with bank numbers, this street became a settlement for security guards. After the middle of the last century, most of the houses on the street were residential houses. With the widening of Quancheng Road in 2002, all of them were demolished except for a few small courtyards on the street. When people come here, they can't help but recall the past.
