Tomb of Ay

The grave was a bit off the old road but our driver was happy to take us there. At the end of the day we were the only couple so the doorkeeper had to open the gate for us to get in. It was a bit of a walk to the entrance but totally worth it. Some historians believe the tomb was originally built for Tutankhamun, but did not complete the burial in time.

The mausoleum that was not preserved in Ramses VI is complete, and it may have been built earlier, and it feels a bit shabby.
