The stone monument is engraved with a song "Defune is in the midst of the great sunset". Is it a haiku that sang the scene of Kushiro, which flourished as a fishing town?

Nusamai Park is located on the south slope of the rotary in Kushiro City. This monument was built in the back of the park. The haiku "I'm leaving in the middle of the great sunset" was carved on a rough, simple large stone. It's a dynamic phrase that is typical of Kushiro, which is also one of the three major sunset towns in the world.

It is a monument standing in the corner of Nusamai Park. Only the characters were engraved on stones with distorted shapes, and I couldn't find any special explanations.
