A terrific community park in Downtown Melbourne on the corner of Hibiscus Blvd @ Hickory Street - Near the Melbourne Auditorium, Honor America Liberty Bell Museum, the Melbourne Military Park, the Melbourne Library, across from Holmes Regional Medical Center. Wells Park has a popular, wonderfully paved, & well-used jogging path around the pond area. Waterfowl, small wildlife, and sometimes alligators are in the park. A large green area, there’s plenty of room for a relaxing day out or a picnic - many covered pavilions, picnic areas, picnic tables are available in the lovely park. Very scenic area with the many shade trees as well as a sprinkling water fountain in the middle of the pond. Many native birds frequent the park. There’s also a very nice playground for the children. Limited parking.
