We spent an afternoon in the lagoon, the scenery was very beautiful, and the lagoon can be played with the Dutch Canal, because the Dutch Canal is connected to the lagoon. The canal is not beautiful, even the water is quite muddy, but here you can experience the life of Sri Lankan people
My heart feels good, but there are not many people. I took a friend and took a lot of beautiful pictures, many of which were pretty good.
Worth going, buy tickets in advance and take advantage of good weather
The Dutch Canal is located in Negombo. It is connected to the lagoon and winds into the city to nourish the people living along the river. There were people fishing on the bridge. After the boat passed through the bridge hole, the river narrowed, with broken boats and houses on both sides, and the water became not clean. Perhaps because the river is too small, the boatman did not take us deeper.
The Dutch Canal, as its name suggests, was probably a canal dug by the Dutch during the colonial period. It was a winding canal with different widths. According to the tour guide of the year, the canal was very long, but we did not experience its length by boat. After passing through a small part of the city, the water in the canal is not clean, and even feels a bit dirty, but it has made very good contributions as the main traffic channel of Colombo back then and now.
To be honest, the Dutch Canal really feels average, not very lively, there is nothing particularly worth visiting
