I went to Sri Lanka at the end of June this year. The day before we returned to Shanghai, we went to the Independence Memorial Hall. The memorial hall is built in the center of the Independence Square. In front of the memorial hall is a statue of Sri Lanka's founding Prime Minister. The beams and pillars of the memorial hall are engraved with images of elephants, lions and the history of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. During his visit to Sri Lanka in 1957, Premier Zhou attended the celebration of the 9th anniversary of Sri Lanka's independence in the Independence Hall. The memorial hall is surrounded by stone lions, each representing a king. At night, there are fountains. It's free to play in such a beautiful place. That's great!
Although the Independent Square in downtown Colombo is small, its position in Sri Lanka is similar to our Tiananmen Square. It was once the site of Sri Lanka's independence ceremony on February 4, 1948. The Independent Memorial Hall in the center of the square was built to imitate the hall where the royal family met the pilgrims during the Kantian Dynasty. In the center of Independence Square stands a memorial hall, which is designed with Sri Lankan cartoon color. The beams and pillars of the memorial are engraved with elephants, lions and patterns describing the history of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. The memorial hall also has a small museum with reliefs close to the roof, describing the history of Sri Lanka from the 5th century B.C. to 1948 B.C. when it became independent. Around the Memorial of Independence, there are also 60 stone lions, which symbolize the Sinhalese lion statues. Each lion represents a king of Sri Lanka from dynasties to dynasties. These lion stone carvings of the same body fully reflect the style of the ancient traditional culture of Kanti, Sri Lanka.
The Independence Memorial Hall was built in 1948 to commemorate Sri Lanka's separation from British colonial rule. In front of the Memorial Hall stands a statue of Sri Lanka's father. Sri Lanka used to be known as the Lion Kingdom in ancient times, so many things in this country, including the national flag, are designed with lions. There are many stone lions carved around this memorial hall, which have local characteristics. The Independent Memorial Hall is located in the city centre of Colombo, close to the Lotus Art Center built by China. You can take some Chinese stamps with you when you go. Some people here are willing to exchange Chinese stamps.
Sri Lanka Independence Memorial Hall, a memorial hall built to commemorate Sri Lanka's secession from colonial rule, stands in the center of Colombo Independence Square. The building is hollow on all sides, with elephants, lions and designs describing Sri Lanka's Buddhist history carved on beams and pillars. There are 60 stone lions around, reflecting the style of Kanti culture. The memorial hall also has a small museum with reliefs close to the roof, describing Sri Lanka's devotion to Buddhism since Nayak. Local residents usually stay here to relax and cool down, and nearby schools often engage in extracurricular activities here...
On the day we went, the weather was gloomy and incomplete. On his side lies the Independent Memorial of Liberation Square, in front of which is a statue of the first President. Behind it is a Sri Lankan-style auditorium. Outside it is a granite structure. Inside it is a marble structure. It is very solemn. Colombo is a popular tourist attraction with a large number of tourists.
Liberation Square, Sri Lanka's first president's bronze statue, is the place where Sri Lanka's independence from the British was held. The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka became independent on February 4, 1948. February 4 is Sri Lanka's National Day and a national holiday.
Visit the Independent Memorial Hall in Colombo, which has the same significance as Tian'anmen in Beijing. Only then did I know that there were around 60 stone lions, each representing a king. In commemoration of Ceylon's independence from Britain, it was modeled on Kanti's auditorium. A place of historic significance
