One of the three major galleries in the United States. Chicago's plutocracy was strong in the old economy. Many famous products from Europe have been purchased in superb dollars. Later, it gathered here and became a pleasant exhibition hall. It is very worth visiting. There are many works of everyone.
It is known as one of the three major art galleries in the United States. Art galleries are free to enter after 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. It is suggested to find a fast-food restaurant near Millennium Park before you go in. If you go in at 5 p.m., you should be able to finish shopping at 9 p.m.
The Chicago Museum of Art, with its high-level collection of Near Eastern art, has many kinds, exhausted and has not finished visiting. No comment on the works of art, all want to have a close look. Unfortunately, there are too many treasures, which are unexpected and full of eyesight.
Monet/Van Gogh/Picasso/Dali/Impressionism/Post-Impressionism/Cubism/Surrealism and so on. The Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art is amazing. It has a collection of fine works.
The museum is very close to the Water Tower Plaza Building and the Michigan Avenue shopping area. When we visited, there were three exhibits, one of which basically used a room. There's plenty of space, but to that extent - so don't expect a lot of space in the Academy of Arts (but MCA adults only need $12). Art is not as adventurous as it is in some places, but it is still the real eccentricity, abstraction and politics of our time. An hour is enough.
This is one of the best contemporary art museums I've been to. As a Chicago local I saw almost every show on display, and it is one of the things I miss most about Chicago. Even if you don't know what is up, go check it out because its bound to be good!
The Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art, a four-storey building, mainly showcases various works of art since modern times. There are many paintings by famous artists and few tourists. It is more suitable for friends who have a certain artistic foundation to visit and ask for tickets.
This museum has a lot of really great and moving pieces! They rotate the exibits every four months too, so even more reason to visit often!
love the museum but ALSO love the outdoor patio and outdoor jazz (check their website) AND Tuesdays they have free days with crafts for the kids.
The first thing I saw was the Guanyin image. It was so kind. It was unearthed in Shijiazhuang.
