The National Gallery of Denmark has a large collection of precious works of Danish artists. It is located in the Westanle Park to the north of the Rose Castle. At the same time, it is also the largest art museum in Denmark. Construction began in 1889 and was officially completed in 1896. There are two major areas in the museum. The Danish area displays domestic works from the 16th century to the present, presenting a historical evolution of art for everyone. Especially J.Th.Lundbye of the Golden Age. In the European region, there are works by famous artists such as Rembrandt and Picasso, as well as many exquisite paintings in the styles of modern art, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo from the 14th to 18th centuries. Especially the works from the Netherlands in the 17th century are quite worth seeing.
