Penny Farthing

The Unicorn Hot chocolate praise, steak is average, 10 pounds and 50 chicken wings can you believe, the portion is a real British bar! This portion is not so much! ! ! Hahahaha

I came here with my mum on Thursday Ava we realised it’s been over 7 years since we last visited, we used to always be in here and can’t remember why we stopped. Anyway, we didn’t book a table and panicked a little bit when we couldn’t get a space in the car park. There is loads of parking outside the shops next to the pub. The place was very busy but the front of house gave us several options of where we could sit and was very helpful. Great menu with some items I’ve never seen, such as kebab, with choice of meat and sauce and a selection of pies, which are full of meat. It is a little bit more expensive but there is plenty of food which was good quality.  Staff were very pleasant and like I said, I’m not sure why we stopped coming, but we will come back.

Great value for money

Nice clean pub with good atmosphere but today the food let itself down I ordered the bangers and mash, fairly pricey at £10.29 so thought would be good….what I got was 3 ‘cheap’ sausages served on a small portion of dried mashed potatoes with a ‘drizzle’ of gravy…I would have said something on the day but did not want to ruin the experience for others that I was with and they looked to be enjoying there’s…so guess message here is avoid the bangers and mash at all cost

Poor food

Lunch time visit to try out their new menu.  The new vegetable Thai style curry was packed full of good sized pieces of vegetables, whole mangetout and green beans served with naan bread and poppadom.  Quite spicy, on a similar level as a tikka masala but really delicious.  Would recommend it and as always good friendly service from Deborah and Andrew.

First time visiting here as new to area lovely choice of meals staff very friendly. Really liked it. Will definitely go again. We chose smaller portions but could have dessert for £2.55 which was delicious. We both had HUNTERS CHICKEN, came with chips and salad. Then chocolate pudding with ice cream.
