The lakeside town in Haidong is very nice, with Moon Palace, Fen Si Hotel, and many famous places. All along the Erhai Lake, you can overlook Cangshan Mountain, sunrise and sunset. I really want to go back.
The ride along the way is planned to have lunch in Haidong Town at noon. But after entering Haidong Town from a small road, I was stunned and asked passers-by to confirm that it was really Haidong Town. The reason for the shock is that it is completely different from Xizhou on the other side of the river. Xizhou is crowded with people and there are many shops, but there are no people in front of Haidong Town, and there are very few shops operated by local people. Said that many young people in the town have gone out to work. So I simply settled down here for lunch and ate delicious bait. Fewer people means that prices are relatively low, but as a town, no matter how depressed, I believe the town government should have a headache.
Haidong is the most suitable place for self-driving tours and sunsets around the Erhai Lake. The road around the sea stretches far and wide. It is a wonderful experience to drive in the afterglow of the setting sun to browse the beautiful scenery of Erhai Lake. Of course, there are also inns of various grades, allowing you to spend a few days, relatively speaking, it is not too commercial and noisy. Personal feeling: Haidong is far better than Shuanglang
The small fishing village on the Erhai Lake is suitable for slow-travel friends to experience the customs of local residents. It is very lively when catching up with the big market. It is quite interesting for people who grow up in big cities! I especially recommend the local sweet corners, they are simply delicious, and there are local specialties such as Er block and milk fan to experience. They are far cheaper than those sold in Shuanglang.
I came to Dali to sketch in Haidong four years ago. The scenery is good. It is very different from the tender scenery of Yangliu Yiyi in the west of the ancient city. The coastline here is much higher, and the scenery looks tough here. The farmland on the big mountains, the villas, are serious. The taste is poetic everywhere, I like the desolation here most
