What people are saying:

Qingbi Creek, in the Cangshan Mountains of Dali, the mountains melted snow and turned into clear streams, gurgling down, surrounded by trees, lush and lush, the mountains sometimes clear sky, white clouds, sometimes rainy. There are also rock carvings on the cliffs on both sides, recording the activities of the predecessors, and being able to carve the rocks here is majestic.

Not that spectacular but a great place to start a walk up the mountain

Use this landmark as a starting point for any walks up or around the mountain. The waterfall in this area can go dry on certain days and times of year but it is also very lose to a large playable c...

Interesting as part of a trip up Cangshan

It's a bit expensive to get up here - 80 RMB cable car + 40 RMB entrance per adult but the view on the mountain is nice. I wouldn't make the trip just to see this stream, but there are some nice walks...

Additional Information

Qingbi Creek, in Cangshan near Dali, Yunan, flows between Shengying Peak and Malong Peak. With its uniquely superb valley scenery, Qingbi is seen to represent the 18 Creeks of Cangshan. The Creek has three pools: the Lower Pool, the Middle Pool, and the Upper Pool, and they are usually visited in this order. Among these is the Pool of the Azure Dragon, marked by two large Chinese characters carved into the overlooking cliff face. It is said that the fir and pine trees on either side make it look as if a dragon were hiding in the water.
