What people are saying:

Zhonghe Temple is named after it is located on the Zhonghe Peak of Cangshan Mountain. The temple was built on the hillside of Zhonghe Peak. The Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty gave a plaque "Dianyun Arch Bridge". It is one of the famous Taoist temples in Dali, built in the Ming Dynasty. It is composed of Juxian Tower, Ling Palace, Yuhuang Pavilion and other halls. It was built during the period of Nanzhao Kingdom in Tang Dynasty (738~902). It was rebuilt during the Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty (1522~1566), and was destroyed again during the Xianfeng period of Qing Dynasty (1851~1861). The only remaining Lingxiao Hall and Juxian Tower were rebuilt in the twenty-sixth year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1900). In recent years, the Queen Mother Hall, the South and North Lingguan Pavilion and the Sea View Corridor have been successively rebuilt. Here is the best angle to overlook the scenery of Cang'er. Ascending to Zhonghe Temple, the sky and water are all in the same color, and the Erhai Lake, dotted resident villages, and the orderly Dali ancient city have a panoramic view.

    Quiet & local path

I walked up from old town and followed a local path. I then was pointed towards a small bike path that turned into a dirt trail (rare in Chinese parks) which I fully enjoyed. It was quiet and once I ...
