Zhoucheng Village

Zhoucheng is located to the north of Xizhou Ancient Town in Dali, very close to the Butterfly Spring Scenic Area. It is an ancient village of Bai nationality. Now when you step into the ancient village, you can still see Bai buildings and aunts wearing ethnic costumes, with a strong ethnic customs. The tie-dye art here is very famous, and it is also the primary reason for tourists to come here. The long tie-dye cloth flying in the quaint Bai ethnic courtyard is really beautiful. Zhoucheng Village is not very big, usually for 1 to 2 hours. There are many shops selling tie-dye in the village. There will be Bai aunts on the street taking you to see tie-dye at home. The price is not cheaper than the ones sold on the street. Nowadays, there are about ten or dozens of small pieces of tie-dye, and the price of large pieces is relatively expensive. Not far from the ancient town of Xizhou, it is the gathering place of the Bai nationality and the largest natural village of the Bai nationality in China. The houses in the village are mostly "three houses and one wall", and "four in five patios" are enclosed. Tie-dyeing products are traditional local crafts. As soon as they enter the village, countless aunts and elder sisters come to solicit customers to visit the dyeing workshop at her house. The visit is free, and you are expected to buy things at her house. Went there many years ago...It's still beautiful! There is always a sense of movement intertwined with smartness and ingenuity, a kind of simplicity and thickness that affects people's hearts; here you can see pieces of blue and white tie-dye cloth, stone roads outside each house, and running water outside each house. This is Dali Zhoucheng, known as "the hometown of tie-dye of the Bai people".　　 Zhoucheng is not only famous for its butterfly springs, but also because it still retains the various traditional customs of the Bai people. It is also known as the "living fossil of the Bai people's folklore". The stone road is dense like spider silk, and the gurgling spring water flows along the alleyway, simple and quiet.

In Zhoucheng, the children experienced the process of tie-dyeing. The grandmother teacher taught the basic tie-dye very patiently. Plants such as Banlangen can be dyed in different colors. Nature gives us humans a wealth. The experience activity is very meaningful, friends who like tie-dye must go and feel it.
