I almost didn't see this cemetery at all, sandwiched as it is between the Dallas Convention Center & Downtown Dallas. It's right next to Pioneer Plaza, with its awesome cattle drive sculpture, but it is much less noticeable. A lot of the headstones are missing and damaged, but it's still a neat place to take a walk in the middle of this very modern and ahistorical city (especially if you are looking for respite from the convention center!)
This graveyard holds the bodies of some of the city's founders. A wonderful few hours can be spent going from grave to grave and reading about the different people buried here: mayors, business leaders, and heroes of the Texas Revolution. The Confederate War Memorial can also be found here.
Some bronze statues of cowboys, near the cemetery, you can go and see, Texas Cowboy Culture
The surrounding area is very desolate, and no one will come here usually
