Changbanpo, located in the city of Dangyang, Hubei Province, is one of three famous ancient battlefields in China. Changban Park was also built outside Changbanpo, in the middle of which is the monument of Changban Awe-Inspiring. Outside the park there is a street center garden, in the middle of which stands the painted pottery statue of Zhao Zilong. 25 km away from Changbanpo is the Baling Bridge, where legend has it, Zhang Fei broke the bridge with his roars. During the Yongzheng period of the Qing dynasty, Zhang's descendants established a stone monument where Zhang Fei clutched his spear, which has been preserved in good condition.
Maicheng is in the territory of Lianghe Town, Dangyang City, Hubei Province, and is an important city in Chu State during the Eastern Zhou Dynasty. It was built in the Spring and Autumn Period when Chu Zhao Wang was built. In the 14th year of Zhou Jingwang (the first 506 years), Wu Guo attacked Chu State, Wu Zixu in order to break through the city, so he built the Yucheng and Mocheng on its left and right sides. The slang of "Dongxi Ximao, Maicheng self-breaking", the name of Maicheng came from this. For thousands of years, the city has been washed away by floods, and the sands have been covered and submerged. Maicheng now only has a wreckage, like a hill, lying on the banks of the Jushui River.
