Love bridge in Taipei, Tamsui
My first time, when I went to Tamsui, I took MRT Red line until last stop - Tamsui. And after that I took local bus 22 to Tamsui Fishermen wharf. All journey from Taipei main station took me around 1 hour. Including waiting time. And I do not regretted that I spent this time. Place is really wonderful. A lot of local shops, seafood restaurants, hotels. You can watch here very beautiful sunset. #summervacation

No worries to get lost because Tamsui is the final destination of this line. Find the EXIT line and then on your left you can begin to explore the beauty of Tamsui. From the yacht ride, street foods, restaurants, soothing breeze of air, the wonderful view of the ocean and mountains. Enjoy them all in Tamsui. ❤
Taiwan’s most popular old street👣
Ironically, I never heard nor knew about Tamsui Old Street until my local friend took me there during my trip. The street is well known in Taiwan for its historical past and local delicacies. My friend told me that there was initially a proposal to expand the railway system with a part of it running through the old street, but the project was modified so as preserve the street which has been there for more than a century since the Qing Dynasty.
Some local delicacies are the iron eggs and Agei (transparent noodles wrapped in tofu).Since it’s a coastal village, there’s an abundance of seafood snacks along the street: baked squid, fried fish, shrimp rolls… I defo recommend the seafood there. Everything I ate was fresh and delicious! There are also lots of options around if you feel like shopping. I also wandered in the alleys along the street to explore around. The street was pretty crowded, especially on a Saturday afternoon.
How to go ➡️ We took the MRT to Tamsui Station and walked for a few minutes.

Tamkang High School Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
The full name of Tamkang Middle School is privately owned by Tamkang High School, a relatively famous middle school in Taiwan Province. Established in 1914, Tamkang Middle School was originally a church school for the Presbyterian Church to train missionaries. Usually, the school does not open to visitors. The beautiful scenery of the school, including the Danshui Women's School, the Ma Rong Cemetery and the Octagonal Building, are of great artistic and historical significance. In 2007, the Tamkang Art Institute in Jay Chou's debut "The Secrets That Can't Be Say" was taken here. The Octagon Tower and the football team are still spiritual symbols of the past. The school is still famous today for its campus environment that advocates aesthetic education, freedom of study and romance.

Fort San Domingo Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Fort San Domingo Taipei 🏰
#taipeitrip
Fort San Domingo in Taipei is a captivating historical treasure that transported me to the colonial past of Taiwan. Nestled in Tamsui District, this iconic fort stands proudly against the backdrop of the Tamsui River, offering a fascinating glimpse into the island's complex history.
The location's strategic position provides panoramic views of the river and the surrounding area, enhancing the overall experience. The highlights of Fort San Domingo include its well-preserved architecture, characterized by a blend of Dutch and Spanish influences. Exploring the fort's chambers and ramparts, I felt like stepping back in time to an era of maritime exploration and trade.
Nearby attractions include the enchanting Tamsui Old Street, a bustling market offering local delicacies and unique crafts. The Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf, with its romantic sunsets and seafood delights, is also within reach for those seeking a scenic escape.
Fort San Domingo isn't just a historical site; it's a living testament to Taiwan's resilience and cultural fusion. Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply drawn to picturesque views, the fort promises a memorable journey through the layers of Taiwan's colonial heritage. #taiwan #taipei #fort
Freshwater Red City, a history of change in history
, was originally built in 1626 when the Spaniards invaded Taiwan on the hills along the Danshui River, and later the Dutch The Spaniards were driven north from the south and in 1644 the "Anthony Fort" was rebuilt near the city site of Santo Domingo. Because foreigners are reddish in color, the local aborigines call it "Red Mao Fan", and the place where they live is called "Red Mao City."
The main castle of Hongmao City is divided into two floors. The ground floor maintains the original appearance of the cell. The second floor is the consultation exhibition hall for the introduction of the history of the Red Hair City and the great navigation period

The most senior university and middle school in the hometown of Jay Chou!
The University of Truth is close to the Red City, the distance from a door, from the "colonial" to the "higher school"!
The Oxford School of Chinese and Western architecture is the predecessor of the University of Truth. Dr. Ma Wei was founded in 1882 in Tamsui and personally designed and supervised the work. It is the first Western-style modern school in Taiwan and the first college and university in Taiwan's history.
After a hundred years of expansion, it was officially renamed "Truth University" in 1999. However, it is said that after the merger of Ma Rong School of Medicine and Ma Rong College, the university will be renamed "Ma Rong University" again in 2020.
From the University of Truth to the 5th minute walk of Tamkang Middle School, these first schools to teach Western-style education, the campus buildings are full of European flavor, walk into it, just like entering a small European town.
The rugby game in the movie "The Secrets That Can't Be Say" and the youth scene where Jay Chou eats Bento is filmed on the campus sports ground.
I have to say that these places of learning knowledge, the environment is too elegant, not to talk about love in the field, it is a waste!
