Bangpu Temple (also known as Bangbo Temple, Bangpo Temple, Benbo Temple) is located in Sangdui Township, Daocheng County, Sichuan Province, backed by Haizi Mountain and facing Wuliang River. It is 3943 meters above sea level and 30 kilometers away from the county seat. It is one of the representative temples of the Kagyu Sect of Tibetan Buddhism (White Sect). It is also a place that is not used as a scenic spot and has no commercial profit. Bangpu Temple is the oldest temple in Daocheng. It has a history of more than 800 years. The Karmapa Dusongchenpa, the first great treasure named by the emperor of the Qing Dynasty, was established in 1178 (South Song Dynasty Chunxi Five). Years) established this temple to give lectures, and made his own Buddha statue for the world to worship. The Buddha statue has been preserved in this temple until now. Du Song Qinba (Zhi III, 1110-1193), also translated as Du Song Qinba, Du Song Qinba, his real name is Qu Ji Zaba (French name), because he obtained the magical powers of knowing the past, present, and future, and in Chubu Monastery has made many three-time awards for others, so people respectfully call him Du Songqinba-Zhi San Shi, Zhi San Shi. On the rock wall of the back mountain, there are many ancient petroglyphs and caves for practice. Among them, there is a petroglyph and text written by Karmapa Dusongchenpa himself. What he wrote was: First, he said that the most things left in Tibetan areas are here. The second is his prediction: the following is his second to eighth life. The plaque on the gate reads: Bangpo Monastery in Daocheng, the place where the Karma Kagyu merits are honored. It should be that the local government changed Bangpo Monastery to Bangpo Monastery for good memory or publicity. There are many sacred relics of Karmapa's handprints and footprints inside and outside Bangpu Monastery. It is one of the important ancestral courts of the Karma Kagyu.
It is an ancient temple that can purify the soul. The four of us arrived at the ancient temple at about 5 in the afternoon. There were no tourists in the temple. There was only one lama washing vegetables and preparing dinner. Seeing our arrival, I quickly stopped working with enthusiasm. He will introduce us to the situation of the ancient temple. The ancient temple is simple and quiet, no tickets are required, and there is no commercial atmosphere. It is a place worth visiting.
Bangpu Temple is a Tibetan-style temple built on the mountain, and it is a Baijiao temple in Tibetan Buddhism. From a distance, it is very imposing, although not as magnificent as Cloth Palace. Perhaps because it is not a tourist attraction, there are not many people, and only a few monks are doing their homework in the temple. The familiar ghee smell in the temple makes me feel very kind. Although I can't tell what their living Buddhas are, I really like the wood carvings of the temple, especially the dragon-shaped railings on the main hall. Although it is far away, you can still see the exquisite carvings.
Bangpu Temple, a quiet and mysterious temple with a long history. When I walked into the temple, it was so quiet that I could only hear footsteps and bird chirps. I didn't dare to speak loudly for fear that it would disturb the purity.
