An absolutely phenomenal destination. Budget an entire day and make sure you get an early start as the high-altitude makes the physical exertion more taxing. Transportation is provided to the trailhead but then you’re on your own. There are lots of stairs!

Daocheng Yading in Sichuan is a must to visit. Snow capped mountains, deep gorges with snow melted rivers cut deep into the mountains. Superb fresh mountain air and awesome autumn colours in November. Enchanting and fairy like atmosphere not to be missed.
The transportation is not convenient. From chengdu there have only public bus or you have to rent a car to go there. But it is very beautiful. It worth to climb up to the mountain to see the lake
Beautiful park, even in the rainy weather. I can only imagine how beautiful it is on the sunny days. No information in English, because of this we did not manage to reach Milk Lake and 5 colors lake. If you go there, head straight there, take electric car (additional tickets needed) and take 9 km trek to the lake and back. After you can visit Pearl lake, as the distance is shorter and you don't need to keep an eye on electric car schedules.
One of the most beautiful parks in China. Clearly marked trails, and convenient transport. Within the park, there are many memorable destinations - the milk sea, five lakes, cattle farm. The milk sea is the furthest at 9km from the entrance reaching 4700m. The air is fresh, water is pure, and tourists are many. Most are not prepared for the conditions and altitude so the narrow trails are bottle-necked in a colorful assortment of umbrellas. Tourists suck on oxygen cannisters all the way up, but they still cannot keep a decent pace. During the wet season, it rains nearly everyday. There are no restaurants and toilets are few. Be prepared, your fellow tourists will have altitude sickness as I witnessed many people throwing up, and many people sleeping along the trail. Overall, I very much enjoyed my time! (did not get altitude sickness, packed light, used the electric car, drank plenty of water, visited all the parks destinations in one day)Go early morning, finish by 3pm.
