What people are saying:

Haizi Mountain Nature Reserve is located in the northern plateau area of Daocheng County (located in Litang and Daocheng counties of Ganzi Prefecture). It is the largest ancient ice relic on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and is known as the "Daocheng Ancient Ice Cap". The total area is 3723 square kilometers, of which Litang County accounts for about 2/3 and Daocheng County accounts for about 1/3. The lowest altitude of the reserve is about 3400 meters, the highest altitude is 5,050 meters, and the average altitude is 4000 meters. The protected area is a plateau hills raised by the uplift of the Himalayas in the ancient Mediterranean. It is part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The Mediterranean seabed gravel accumulates, 1/4 is the virgin forest composed of main trees such as poplar and fir spruce in Sichuan and Yunnan alpine trees, and 2/4 is the alpine wetland-meadow-shrub. There are 1,145 large and small lakes in the area, and their scale and density is unique in China. The mountain lake is also called Haizi, so it is named Haizishan.
