Gongga Langjiling Temple, which means "Holy Snow Mountain State" in Tibetan, was founded by Jiabu Kangzhu Luorong back in the 15th year of Ming Chongzhen (1642) in the Ming Dynasty. The temple is located 60 kilometers south of the county seat, with an altitude of 3335 meters. The temple faces the Chitu River in front of it and is backed by Mount Asi.
