Lingque Temple was built in the first year of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty (1662). The full name is Lingque Xingsheng Temple. The Gelug Sect Temple of Tibetan Buddhism. The temple is built on the mountain, facing the Xianshui River passing through the city, and facing the Zunsheng White Tower. The temple hall is tall and magnificent, with 21 large 11-meter-high pillars standing upright. In the temple, a group of Buddha statues dominated by Tsongkhapa Buddha statues, exquisitely made thangkas, and butter colored sculptures can be seen everywhere, forming a very characteristic and gorgeous landscape in Tibetan temples. Highlight feature: Lingque Temple. It is famous throughout Tibetan monasteries with butter colored sculptures. Sightseeers can be seen everywhere in the temple hall, exquisite colored sculpture works. Don't miss it. The walls and ceiling of the main hall are hung with countless thangka works that have been passed down through generations. Among them is a treasure of Zhensi ~ a huge green Tara Thangka. According to the master who led us to worship Buddha, this huge green Tara Thangka is unique in Tibetan areas. On the second floor of the main hall, there are wooden masks of various colors for Buddhist festivals hanging on the pillars. The expressions of monsters and ghosts are terrifying. I'm afraid I can't see it in other temples. According to the master, the monks of Lingque Temple wear these masks of cows, ghosts and snakes in the traditional way on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month and take to the streets to sing and dance. Eliminate evil spirits and pray for peace. Become the most famous Buddhist cultural activity in Daofu County. It is also a popular sightseeing tour program for tourists and photography enthusiasts.
