The main thing about the Northern Wei Mingtang Ruins Park is that there are two museums inside, one is the Northern Wei Mingtang Ruins Museum and the other is the Northern Dynasty Art Museum. In fact, the entire park is a garden built for this site. Both museums are used as branches of Datong City Museum and belong to Datong City Museum. I feel that in addition to Labor Day and National Day, I don't need to make an appointment in advance because there are not so many tourists. Go in from the north gate of Xiangyang Street Park, very close to the ruins museum, but the art museum is in the south, go to the art museum, go around the back. Both museums are not big. The ruins museum is some foundations. The exhibition hall on the art museum is on the first floor and the basement floor. There is no elevator. The only downside is that the museum does not turn on the air conditioner. All branches of Datong City Museum do not turn on the air conditioner! ! ! I went in early August. Although the summer in Datong is not as humid and hot as the Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai areas, it is also very sun-baked during the day in early August, and the feeling of baking is still there. The museum did not turn on the air conditioner, and even the staff at the door were hot. I also have a fan on my hand and I don't want to take pictures at all. It is recommended that the administrators turn on the air conditioner in the summer! There is a cultural and creative store on the art museum that can be stamped. The bathroom is not in the museum, but on the west side of the south gate of the park. Free parking is available on the sidewalks around the park. It's just that the parking space is a little tight. Then there are restaurants around the park, and there are not many famous chain stores located here. So if you don't want to queue up in the restaurants in the ancient city, you can come here to eat. ＂ Beiwei Mingtang Ruins Park ＂ is one of the components of Pingcheng (present-day Datong) site and was excavated in 1995. ＂ Beiwei Mingtang ＂ was built in Taihe 15 years (491 AD) of Xiaowen Emperor of Northern Wei, and the function was abandoned after moving to Luoyang. The ancients believed that the Mingtang could be connected to the heavenly elephant, and everything under the rule of heaven. The Son of Heaven can hear the world here, and can declare the religion and government, which is a sacred place reflecting the unity of heaven and man. The ancient emperors held all rituals such as sacrifices, churches, celebrations, and electors. Pingcheng is a capital city in the early Northern Wei Dynasty (398 ～ 494 years), ＂ Beiwei Pingcheng Mingtang ＂ is one of the four Mingtangs in Chinese history (Han Chang'an Chengmingtang, Beiwei Pingcheng Mingtang, Tang Luoyang City Ziwei Palace Main Hall, Northern Song Dynasty Yuanliang Ming Hall), and the only Mingtang that has been repaired at the original site. It is the city sign of Pingcheng ruins.

The main building is a bit like the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, and it looks like it at a glance. The time was not arranged, but there was no time to take a look at it at 7 or 8 o'clock in the evening. The park seemed to open late. The museum was closed early at this time, but the fitness people gathered here to play, and the aunts danced happily in the square. The restaurants and shops around the park are tasteful and it is recommended to visit.
