    The views are breathtaking

    We enjoyed the self guided tour of the fort. They had a lot to explore. Wear good sturdy shoes. Also it can get very windy, but it is worth it

    Well preserved pre civil war fort.

    An old pre civil war and civil war fort on the Dauphin Island in Mobile Bay. Pretty intact with a good walking tour pamphlet that lets you go at your own pace. Price is reasonable at $10 per person ...

    Civil War Fort

    There's not a lot to see at Fort Gaines, but does have beautiful views. It's definitely worth a visit if you're already on Dauphin Island.
