The most famous temple in Dege County is Gengqing Temple, whose name is unfamiliar to many people. But its "other name"-Dege Printing House, you must have heard of it. In fact, this Dege Scripture Printing Institute is a magnificent "publishing house" on the west side of Gengqing Temple. It is affiliated with Gengqing Temple. From the Dege Printing House, turn left, go uphill, pass a large row of prayer wheels, and walk for 3 to 5 minutes. Because Dege Printing House is so famous, many tourists only know that they don’t know Gengqing Temple.
Gengqing Temple is the most historical and cultural temple in Western Sichuan. It has a history of 290 years, but it still uses the most primitive woodblock printing. It inherits the craftsmanship of Tibetan hand-printed scriptures for thousands of years. In the "printing house" where scriptures are printed by hand, there are few foreign tourists, and local Tibetan monks worship and visit.
It is recommended that three or five friends visit Gengqing Temple together. It is a bit scary to go alone. Especially ladies better not go alone.
It's really good to have faith. You can feel what you can say and feel right. This temple is uphill on the left hand side of the printing house, and there is a river on the right and a simple toilet on the right. There is a large prayer wheel on the slope, walk 3-5 minutes (slowly) to the left hand side. Do not walk the middle stairs, mortals please walk on both sides, respect the beliefs of others.
