The Wanjingtai Student Children's Palace is located on Guangfu Street, about 8 kilometers from the center of Pyongyang. It opened in April 1989. The total building area of the palace is 60 meters high, 200 meters wide and 280 meters long. Known as the "cradle of young children and talents in North Korea", it is a comprehensive base for young students to receive extracurricular education in North Korea. There are more than 600 rooms in the juvenile palace, including more than 200 group activities rooms such as science and technology, sports, literature and art. There are also 2,000 seating theaters in the Palace, as well as facilities such as libraries, swimming pools, exhibition rooms and aquariums, sports stadiums, car and tractor driving practice venues. There are more than 500 full-time teachers in the Palace to guide students in extracurricular activities.
