爱生活ČESKÉ BUDĚJOVICE is located in the center of the South Czech Basin, where the Vltava and Marche rivers converge. As the capital of the Czech South Bohemian Region, it has a population of about 100,000. In 1265, the then King of Bohemia, Přemysl Otakar II, ordered the construction of this charming small medieval town. It is the hometown of Budweiser Beer and a well-known beer town all over the world. "Budweiser" is the transliteration of Budweis in German. Budweis is a bit convoluted. The Chinese prefer to call him Budweis. Budejovice is a charming and peaceful medieval old town, filled with wonderful Baroque architecture. The town is not big, and more than 2 hours in the early morning is enough for you to stroll to every corner of this small town leisurely. There is no crowded people, no noisy hustle and bustle, but quiet. No skyscrapers can be seen here. Small groups of 4 to 6 floors are connected in rows around the square. The buildings are connected by the 18th century promenade. They maintain the original Baroque and Renaissance styles intact. It is coordinated and painted with rich colors, changeable and elegant, and strolling through it seems to be visiting an architectural exhibition. Like the pattern of other ancient towns in Europe, the center of the town is the square-Přemysl Otakar II Square. The square was planned in 1265. Nowadays, the square of 133m×137m square is Czech Republic The largest square is also one of the most beautiful squares. The square is surrounded by Baroque, Gothic, Renaissance and other different styles and colorful buildings. In the old days of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the square was renamed Kaiser Franz Joseph’s Square and Masalik Square. During World War II, it was changed to Adolf Hitler’s Square...The original name was restored after the drastic changes in the early 1990s. .

Dolly5028The Black Tower is located at the northeast corner of Przemysl Otoka II Square, diagonally opposite to the City Hall, right next to the Cathedral of St. Nicholas. The reason why it is called the Black Tower is that its color is a little dark. The construction time can be seen from the bronze carved door under the tower. In 1553, you can climb up to see the whole view of Budejovice.

Churches and Cathedrals
爱生活St. Nicholas Church Katedrala svateho Mokulase, the cathedral of the Catholic Diocese of České Budějovice, is located at the northeast corner of Przemisl Otoka II Square, adjacent to the landmark Black Tower. It was built as an altar around 1297, but due to funding and war, the church has not been completed, and the main building was only completed in the middle of the 14th century. The main body of the church was built in the 14th century and was destroyed by fire in 1641. What you see now is a reconstructed Baroque church. There are three statues in the niche of the main entrance, namely Saint Mikulas, Saint Winsler, and Saint Auridin. In front of the cathedral in the shadow of the tower is a statue of John Ilsik Jan Valerian Jirsik, who is said to be the first archbishop of the church. The bell tower in front of the church has another famous name. It is called the Black Tower. The tower is 72 meters high. It is a famous tower in Budejovice. It was built in the 16th century. The bell tower is named after its dark brown and black appearance. , There is a golden clock on the square tower, which can be seen from a long distance. In addition to telling the time, it was used as a watchtower for fires throughout the city. From downstairs, you can enter through a small door and circle upstairs. Follow the spiral staircase in the tower to the observation deck on the top floor. In the early morning or in the sunset, the sky is soft and transparent, and flocks of pigeons flutter across the city. The quiet and peaceful atmosphere of the town is intoxicating.
