Mel2024:“An amazing castle and visiting the grounds was a treat. Full of history and going through the surroundings, it wasn't repetitive and not boring at all. I absolutely loved it and it's was very interesting. I love the Arab Room and the war shelters.
Reasonable priced tickets compared to the Royal castle prices.
I highly recommend this visit for all ages.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
I love Cardiff. It's so refreshing compared to London.”
M43***62:“Pleasant enough way to spend a couple of hours. Went primarily to see the paintings but (and of course this is entirely a matter of personal taste) there wasnt a lot to rock my boat and not a lot of range. Some of the pottery was quite interesting but could have been better displayed. The natural history section on the ground floor was rather more interesting than expected- not too "dry"”
AK520:“Cardiff Bay is very easy to go. It is very closed to Cardiff Central Station. You can take the bus or walk 30 mins from central station. It is free to visit, of course, and the scenary there is fantastic. You can spend a few hours there, no doubt. Take lots of pictures there. There are a lot of shops and restaurant and coffee shop there. So once you are tired, you can grab a coffee there, by sitting next to the seashore, enjoying the coffee and the sea at the same time. Different kinds of pubs and restaurant there, from high class to family restaurant. There are also a few historical buildings there, and there is a modern exhibition center there. The design of its outlook is so high tech, you definitely will fall in love with it.”
WillSum:“The stadium is not small in scale. There is no wide square between a group of buildings crowded by riverside buildings, and there is not enough color in the stadium. Unlike domestic facilities, there are many glass curtain walls. Several pillars somewhat resembling London's Millennium Dome support the whole building outwards. On the South side, there is a matching shopping mall near the railway station.”

WillSum:“The Mermaid Wharf is the core of the Cardiff Bay area. On the one hand, you can take a boat along the river from Cardiff Castle to the harbor, and on the other hand, you can sail from the yacht here to a more distant place (unfortunately, many of the piers are locked). The pier is parked or even full of various boats, and many birds and ducks like to come here to bask in the sun. The entire viewing platform is divided into several levels, but whether it is running, sitting or cycling, they will be dispersed.”
小凌60:“The interior of the Millennium Center is quite large, with some boutiques, restaurants, and a lot of art works. You can spend a long time inside. The restaurants are a bit expensive, but it's nice to see the art.”

Guest User:“Wifi in the room didn’t work I had to check twice with the reception but it didn’t work I had to go to the lobby to access wifi. Despite having allowed to check out at 1pm housekeeper still knocked on my door at 12pm. Receptionist gave wrong info about going to the city. They made mistake with my number of luggages. Very disappointed with this Marriott property”
Emmasaunders:“I couldn’t not fault the hotel, I amazing stay the staff were very helpful and friendly too. Hotel is right by central, easy access to pubs and restaurants.
The room was fabulous too OMG I didn’t wanted come home. :(
I had room service I had pasta bolognaise which was blinking lush I wanted another one.”
Andrew Miao:“I stayed here for eight nights from July 19th to 27th and never felt uncomfortable or out of place. The hotel rooms and towels were exceptionally clean.
Though the breakfast menu remained the same daily, the freshness of the offerings made it enjoyable every morning. Parking was tight at times, but I always managed to find a spot with peace of mind.
I visit Wales nearly every year, and it looks like I’ll be returning to this hotel again next year.”
Priscilla omokha:“Honestly, I’m not even gonna lie Mercure Hotel in Newport is such a wonderful place! From the moment we arrived, the receptionist who attended to us was super lovely. She explained everything about our voucher clearly, and even when we had to go back downstairs to ask her something (because I wasn’t really paying attention but my man was 😅), she was still so patient and kind.
The whole experience was amazing. I had a really great night the bed was super comfy, the food and dinner at the lounge were delicious, and the service throughout was top-notch. Breakfast the next morning was also soooo good! The hotel was spotless, the vibe was calm, and everything felt just perfect.
I genuinely recommend Mercure Newport to anyone planning to stay in the area. Whether you’re visiting or you already live in Newport, you have to experience how clean, luxurious, and peaceful it is. It’s such a relaxing and cozy environment! 🖤✨”
Wah33d:“Overall, it was a good experience. The reception staff was a bit rude. Room service was not satisfactory. It was overpriced. The AC was not working, and there was no ventilation.”
Lucillefinds:“The Lincoln Private House Hotel experience has been fantastic. We have a private bathroom, and our room is cleaned daily. Breakfast is the highlight, featuring a menu and an unlimited selection of drinks. The staff are amazing!”
NickRZ:“We arrived just before check-in time and were allowed to go into a room, but the room had opaque windows. We booked over 3 months ago, just expected what we asked for, not first come put them in there. We then waited for another room, to then get a double bed and a fold away bed instead of two twin beds. Lots of old furniture nonsense which was now in our way as not enough space due to two beds. Beds were comfy but arrangement was not.
The breakfast was very nice, could choose kippers if you wanted.”
WAN YEE WENDY:“Room rate of this hotel is pretty high given the small size of the room. It looks very much like a dormitory room. The good thing is, it’s in a rather convenient location and it has air conditioning. The staff are helpful and friendly!”
CHEI WAI GRACE:“The apartment is very clean and convenient. Walking distance to the nearby supermarket and restaurants. It’s only 3 minutes drive to the University of Cardiff.”

TheForkUser:“Had an excellent meal, as usual. The rump steak was cooked to perfection and my server, Elise, got the order spot on. Food was reasonably price and I got a loyalty stamp. Three more and I get a free main meal! The place was clean, and the salad bar well stocked. Even though it was very busy, the service didn't feel rushed and Elise was attentive but not too much so.”
