Bridge
魔女三号babykikileeArrived at Pirini Iron Bridge at about 3:30 in the afternoon, the actual local time is already 4:30 in the afternoon, because there is a one-hour time difference after passing the intercontinental line. The statue of I.B. Perrine is in the visitor center at the southern end of the bridge. The unique statue shape feels like inviting you to dance with him, attracting a large number of tourists to take photos with him. In front of the statue is the ground paved with red bricks, and each red brick is written with the name of the investor. Perhaps at first glance at this bridge, you will feel the same as me-an ordinary iron bridge with a long history that seems to be in disrepair. But in fact, it is one of the world's most famous venues for skydiving and high-altitude jumping. The Pirini Iron Bridge is located in the town of Twin Falls in the Snake River Canyon. It has a total length of about 1,500 feet (457 meters), a main span of 993 feet (303 meters) and a height of 486 feet (148 meters). The height of the bridge deck is approximately At 3,600 feet (1100 meters) across the winding Snake River, it is the eighth tallest bridge in the United States. The Pirini Iron Bridge was opened to traffic in September 1927, when it was the highest bridge in the world. The bridge was originally built with a private investment of 650,000 US dollars, so there is a fee for crossing the bridge. But in 1940, after the bridge was bought by Idaho, the toll was cancelled. This is the world's famous spot skydiving base. It may be the only man-made structure in the United States that allows spot skydiving without a permit. We were lucky. We just saw parachuting enthusiasts jumping off the iron bridge and slowly landing on the lawn under the bridge. If the technique is not good or the wind direction is a problem, they might land on the river.
